Chris Hemsworth is the New Brad Pitt

Brad Pitt, your tenure as America's de facto male sex symbol is up. A new Adonis is in town — and his name is Chris Hemsworth.

Hemsworth has plenty of big-name projects in his IMDB legacy (The Avengers, Thor, Snow White & The Huntsman). But he never really seemed to have an entree to superstardom until Wednesday night’s premiere of Rush, put on by Ferrari with The Cinema Society and Piaget in New York.

Pandemonium began the second Hemsworth stepped onto the red carpet (without his super-hot wife Elsa Pataky). He looked dapper in all-black — the requisite two-piece suit and dress shirt combo, with two buttons breezily opened to offer just a peek at his Thor-like heavage. His flowing locks were very Legends of the Fall, as you'd expect. After making a quick stop on the red carpet, he left for a more engaging matter — the gym a likely choice.

And then the movie! The film is a must-see, not only for the plot, but for all the derriere, chest, legs, lips, face, back and did we mention derriere shots of Hemsworth? I ended up sitting next to the Swedish blond bombshell and Playboy playmate Victoria Silvstedt who could barely contain her excitement whenever Hemsworth appeared on the screen. Every time his perfect face or body appeared on the screen, whether dressed or in the nude, you could hear a collective gasp from every woman and man in the audience. Can you blame them?

Chris Hemsworth, we are all yours.

Uncalled For: Jimmy Connors Dredged Up Chris Evert's 39-Year-Old Abortion

May 20, 2013 at 5:49PM By Anna Breslaw |

Man, the reproductive rights system is tough on men. If they forget a condom, the condom breaks, they're not on birth control, or a variety of other factors come into play, they're biologically geared to carry the child of whatever person they bone, and, depending on their geographic location, just may be forced to keep it. Oh, wait, no. That's women!

Nevertheless, Jimmy Connors, former tennis star and fellow Wimbledom champ's Chris Evert's ex-boyfriend, feels shafted by her 39-year-old decision to have an abortion without informing him that she was pregnant. And he's exposed her choice — without her consent — in his new biography, The Outsider, as well as a sardonic aside to Evert: "Well, thanks for letting me know. Since I don't have a say in the matter, I guess I am just here to help." (Via Slate.)

He writes that she may have gotten the procedure because she misunderstood his willingness to take responsibility — i.e. that it had nothing to do with her indidual choice at all — to be "was perfectly happy to let nature take its course and accept responsibility for what was to come." Which, in this case, is implied to be that Evert put aside her seven time #1 worldwide pro tennis ranking (and career winning percentage over 90 percent, a record that's never been beaten by another woman or man), to keep it for him. I won't even say "baby" or "child," because we have no idea how far along she was, nor is it any of our godd*mn business. It's her story to tell, and the fact that he even thinks he can mention it in his book, let alone shame her for it, is truly indicative of the lingering shame we force on women for having abortions.

Evert was just 19 in 1974, the year that this likely occurred — when she and Connors, dating at the time, won their respective championships at Wimbledon and began appearing in the tabloids as a tennis power couple, reports The Atlantic. Ironically, Connors writes that at another point, when Evert wanted to be comforted after losing a match, that "You can't have two number ones in a relationship." Uh, maybe that's how she felt about her tennis career and simultaneously being pregnant with a cluster of cells contributed by someone who was completely self-absorbed. Or, hell, even if he was awesome! Or a Teletubby! Really, she has absolutely no need to justify her decision to ANYONE.

Evert has since released an understandably terse statement:

In his book, Jimmy Connors has written about a time in our relationship that was very personal and emotionally painful. I am extremely disappointed that he used the book to misrepresent a private matter that took place 40 years ago and made it public, without my knowledge. I hope everyone can understand that I have no further comment.

Want to Meet Jennifer Aniston and Get Your Hair Cut by Chris McMillan, the Man Behind "The Rachel?"

What do you and Jennifer Aniston have in common? You both love a good hair day.

Alright, stop rolling your eyes. Even though J.A.'s an A-lister who doesn't travel anywhere without her BFF hairstylist Chris McMillan, she still struggles with "unmanageable hair."

So, Jen teamed up with her mane man and Living Proof (she's a co-owner) to show women that we're all in the good-hair-day fight together, and that there is a solution: Living Proof (LP), a hair company created by MIT geniuses that aims to comfort all of your hair woes.

To give us living proof (see what I did there?) that we're not alone when it comes to loving/hating our hair, the besties and LP created three hair episodes, the first one being "The Obsessions." In this video (below), Jen, Chris, and women everywhere, talk all things hair and their, well, obsessions.

After each video—the two additional episodes will be released Monday, May 13 and Wednesday, May 15—you'll have the opportunity to submit your own video, here, giving your thoughts on that episode's theme.

The winner gets the chance to meet Jennifer Aniston (!!!) and get their hair cut by her stylist, the man who gave Jen "The Rachel."

Here's how it will all go down: After the contest wraps on May 24, Jen and Chris will start reviewing all of the video entries. Note: You can enter up to three times, once following each video's release, giving you three chances to enter. Then, a winner will be chosen, and we'll all be jealous of that person.

Okay, Cosmo girls, it's time to tell Jen, Chris, and Living Proof your hair obsessions....go!

Why You Want to Bone Chris Hemsworth When<br />You're Ovulating

There's just something about Chris Hemsworth. On any given day, he's the quintessential example of a super-masculine looking dude. Just look at the way his muscles pop through his shirt as he carries those two large cases of water. Hotttttt.

Well. According to a new study, your menstrual cycle can affect when you're especially attracted to the scent of a manly guy like Chris Hemsworth. Specifically, at your most fertile times—when you're ovulating—we're extra-attracted to macho guys bursting with testosterone traits like deep voices and bulging Hemsworthian muscles. Yes, in other words, your vagina can help you sniff out a hot man in the crowd.

To determine this, researchers gave guys T-shirts to wear for two consecutive nights. During this time, they were not allowed to use scented soaps or detergents, drink alcohol, smoke, or eat garlic, onion, green chiles, strong cheeses, and other stinky foods.

At the end of the second night, scientists asked women to sniff the men's shirts and rate the sexiness of the smell. The women were also asked where they were with their menstrual cycles.

Women who were ovulating found the shirts of men with high testosterone smelled the sexiest. So while you may be lusting after an Adonis when you're ovulating, take caution: That's also the time when you're most likely to get pregnant.

Professional Douche Chris Brown Casts Karrueche Lookalike In Music Video

In the controversy surrounding Chris Brown and Rihanna's much-publicized reunion, one woman is often forgotten: Karrueche Tran, the model who Brown dated for two years and eventually dumped after his 2009 assault and subsequent breakup with Ri-Ri.

He continued dating her even as he was reconciling with the Barbadian superstar over the last year. (Remember that drunken video Chris Brown took last October of himself "ruminating" on whether you can love two people? Yeah, that was about Rihanna and Karrueche.)

Art imitates life imitates art imitates life imitates art and... you can go on forever, and now I'm dead, AHHH! But seriously, we all know that celebrities incorporate their "private" lives into their very public careers. My spirit animal Taylor Swift, for example, has been known for turning the boyfriend-lemons of her life into Top 40-ballad lemonade. And why not? Haters gonna hate, but I am Team T-Swizzle all the way.

That said, where do you draw the line between artistic catharsis and milking it? In the vein of Justin Timberlake's Britney Spears-doppelganger in the music video for "Cry Me A River" after she allegedly cheated on him with their shared choreographer, Chris Brown has “purposely cast a Karrueche Tran look-alike" in a music video for his new song "Fine China." (Of course, Brown, Timberlake and Swift are three verrrry different cases. But still.) Life and Style has quoted "a pal of [Brown's]" on the strategic casting in the video.

Says the source: "The storyline [of the music video] includes him saying goodbye to the woman. He wants to show he’s chosen Rihanna over her once and for all. [...] It was only right for him to make a statement that they are back together and that he and Karrueche are over.”

Tran and Brown remain "good friends" despite their split, but rumors that Brown's new album will concern their breakup, in addition to this casting news, just struck Tran today. She tweeted:

Whether you're a writer, a musician, a visual artist or any other creative type, what are the rules of using your exes in your art?

Does Chris Brown really deserve another chance?

Most people would agree 2011 has treated Chris Brown well. His fourth album, F.A.M.E., debuted at number one on the US charts. He shared the stage with teen dream Justin Bieber on his recent Australian tour. Brown has even earned a reconnection to his ex-girlfriend Rihanna, who controversially began following him on social networking site Twitter in May.

It’s a far cry from the low Brown hit just two years before, when he was charged with assaulting Rihanna after the couple left a pre-Grammy Awards after-party in 2009. If the assault wasn’t shocking enough, leaked images of Rihanna’s bruised and swollen face sealed the deal. Brown, then, became pop culture enemy number one.

Now he’s riding the comeback trail. However, a series of outbursts – including homophobic slurs on Twitter last December and over $2000 worth of damages he caused to his dressing room after he was asked about RiRi in an interview with Good Morning America in March – suggest he may not be as beyond his violent past as his handlers would like to think...
