Best-Dressed: 2013 Billboard Music Awards Edition

At last night's Billboard Music Awards, these A-listers definitely stole the show: Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, Jennifer Lopez, Taylor Swift, and Emmy Rossum.

I don't care if I'm the only one who thinks Miley looks amazing in this checkered Balmain crochet and bejeweled jumpsuit, but the girl looks badass and beautiful.

Selena also wowed in a multicolored DayGlo Atelier Versace dress and silver Jimmy Choo shoes.

Never disappointing when it comes to showing a little (okay, a lot of) skin, Jennifer Lopez looked stunning in a gold lame Zuhair Murad dress complete with a plunging neckline, peek-a-boo skirt, and gilded Christian Louboutin shoes.

Taylor Swift, on top of taking home eight trophies, caught our eye looking super regal and way hot in her royal geometric-patterned blue Zuhair Murad sequin mini and Jimmy Choo shoes.

And last but not least, presenter Emmy Rossum also showed up flaunting a Zuhair Murad (obvs, the designer of the night!) number that was black with sheer-covered, polka dot-covered cutouts.

But since we clearly can't decide on our own—okay, we'd give it to Miley if it were up to us—who do you think should take home best-dressed honors?

Why Did Aubrey Plaza Crash Will Ferrell's MTV Movie Awards Speech?

moving cross country, finding a great partner... or lobbing off all your hair a la Karlie Kloss). But don't fret: It's not an impossible task. It just takes some thought—and great advice.

"A lot of times people don't like what they're doing in their current job, but they haven't defined what they want to be doing in their potential new job," Nicole Williams, career expert and author of Girl On Top, tells Cosmopolitan.com.

She says nabbing your dream job starts with doing some soul-searching: "I ask people to assess components of their current working life, and match them against the career they are looking to get into."

Try asking yourself these questions...

Time: How many hours do you want to work and in what kind of environment? Big company, small, telecommute, work-from-home flexibility (you know, the kind banned at Yahoo!)

Challenge Level: How important is growth potential and being challenged to you? Are you ambitious and ready to lean in, or just looking for a 9 to 5 to fill your time?

Work Environment: Define your best possible scenario in terms of work relationships. Who are you working with and for? What kind of boss would be ideal? Do you have dreams of becoming a boss?

Passion: How important is passion to you? For example, a woman we know races triathlons and feels like she doesn't need to be passionate about her job; her passion is attached to her sport.

6. Money: How much do you need to make? How much money do you want to make?

Steps To Making A Career Change

Stop Delaying

"The longer you are in the job you are thinking of leaving, the further away you are from new opportunity," says Williams. "It doesn't get any easier. Doing it earlier is emotionally, mentally and professionally better."

Be Willing To Sacrifice Something

You may have to start from the bottom (or the middle) and work your way to the top; Either way, be ready to drop a few rungs on the corporate ladder.

"Internships can be a good idea—or be willing to take a pay cut," says Williams. "If this internship, for example, introduces you to influential people and helps develop a skill-set, you'll be able to take these things to leverage them into a bigger position."

Start Saving

"Have a solid idea of the risk and savings in the bank," advises Williams. Even if it means cutting back on luxuries. "If you know the internship is going to last for six months at a minimum, that's the number you need to have in savings, and I normally advise 10 to 20 percent in savings as a risk buffer."

Network

"People love to talk about themselves," says Williams. "Find them on LinkedIn and through people you know, and consult with them."

Williams suggests asking those in similar fields questions like, "I wonder if you'd speak to me about your day-to-day life; What do you love most about the work that you do; What do you wish you would have known going into this career?"

"Those kind of questions are going to give you the information you need and will help you know the people you are going to need to know," she adds.

Now that you are armed with more than just your resume and a fresh manicure, it's time to start hitting the pavement. Happy hunting, gals.

SAG Awards Lip Shade Showdown: Nude or Bold?

Barely there or deep berry? That is the lip color question of the moment thanks to the celebs at the SAG awards last night.

We found out exactly what Lea Michele, Amanda Seyfried, Anne Hathaway, and Claire Danes were all wearing so you can swipe it on for your own red-carpet moment (aka date night).

If you like Lea's look, follow makeup artist Melanie Inglessis's lead and apply a coat of L’Oréal Paris Colour Caresse by Colour Riche Luminous Lipcolour in Sheer Linen, $10, ulta.com, and then layer on L’Oréal Paris Colour Caresse Wet Shine Stain by Colour Riche in Eternally Nude, $10, drugstore.com, to add a bit of a sheen to your pout.

For Amanda's gorgeous, neutral lip color, line and fill in your lips with Clé de Peau Beaté Lip Pencil in 101, $55, neimanmarcus.com, then top it with Clé de Peau Beaté Extra Rich Lipstick in T10, $60, nordstrom.com. Finish with one swipe of Clé de Peau Beaté Enriched Lip Luminizer in 210, $35, neimanmarcus.com.

Want Anne's bright berry shade? Makeup artist Kate Lee used Chanel Rouge Coco Hydrating Crème Lip Colour in Taffetas Rose, $34, chanel.com. "It's a perfect deep rose/raspberry shade that is just a few shades more intense than her lips at their reddest," said Lee.

If you're more of a super deep lip color kind of girl, opt for the look that makeup artist Matin Maulawizada created on Claire. First swipe on Laura Mercier Lip Silk, $22, to smooth and nourish your pout. Then, contour and shade your lips using Laura Mercier Lip Pencil in Coffee Bean, $20, followed by Laura Mercier Lip Pencil in Deep Wine, $20, all at lauramercier.com.

But now we want to hear your thoughts on your favorite lipstick shade from last night...

DIY: Julianne Hough's People's Choice Awards 2013 Makeup

We're suckers for pretty makeup, obviously. So when we saw our February cover girl Julianne Hough's on the red carpet for the 2013 People's Choice Awards, we knew we had to recreate it. And thanks to Julianne's makeup artist Molly Stern, you can too.

To copy Julianne's modern fairy tale look with a rock n' roll edge, follow Stern's steps:

Face: "First, I prepped her skin with By Terry Or de Rose Baum Prècieux and moisturized it with Natura Bisse C+C Vitamin Cream SPF 10," says Stern. "Next, I applied foundation very sparingly, only where she needed it, using Chantecaille Future Skin Foundation."

Cheeks: "I applied Lancôme Star Bronzer in the hollows of her cheekbones, and then dusted Lancôme Blush in Love in Peache Joue over the top of the apples (aka the rounded part) of her cheeks," says Stern.

Eyes: "I covered her lids with Lancôme Color Design Infinite in Forever Noir and then dusted Perpetual Pink at the center of her lid to catch the light. Next, I lined the top lash line heavily and very closely to the lower lash with Lancôme Liner Design in Black Fishnets," says Stern. Then, to define her eyebrows she used Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil. "I also curled her lashes using the Shu Uemura lash curler and then applied two coats of Lancôme Hypnose Doll Lashes in Black," she added.

Lips: To define her mouth, Stern lined her lips with Lancôme Le Lipstique Lip Colouring Stick in Sheer Natural, and then topped them with Lancôme Rouge in Love in Pink Berries, a pale pink pearl shade.

Will you be stealing this Safe Haven star's sexy makeup look this Saturday night?

What Did You Think of Last Night’s Academy Awards?

From gorgeous red carpet gowns to the acceptance speeches, the Oscars are always fun to watch. But this year’s ceremony seemed even better with the return of Billy Crystal as the show’s host and that jaw-dropping performance by Cirque du Soleil.

And we’re still amazed by the ballsiness of Sacha Baron Cohen, who rolled up to the red carpet in character as Admiral General Aladeen from his upcoming flick The Dictator, and then dumped ashes on Ryan Seacrest. (To Ryan’s credit, he handled that like a champ even though he was obviously ticked.)

We got a little tearful when The Help star Octavia Spencer gave her Best Supporting Actress acceptance speech, and cheered when 82-year-old Beginners star Christopher Plummer nabbed the Best Supporting Actor award, making him the oldest actor to win an Oscar.

And, of course, there were those fabulous dresses…

What was your favorite part of the Oscars?

My night at the 2011 Fun, Fearless Female Awards!

My week of work experience at Cosmo wasn't exactly the typical week that many young, aspiring female journalists (like myself) get to experience.

On Wednesday night, I was privileged to attend the 2011 Cosmopolitan Fun, Fearless Female Awards which was hosted by loveable Shelley Craft at Catalina Rose Bay. It is the magazine’s annual celebratory event of the year, exposing some of the nation’s most exceptional role models and accomplished female figures. Whether they're a singer, actor, blogger or sportswoman; each nominee harnesses the essence of what it means to be a fun, fearless female.

My personal highlight? It would definitely have to be mingling with some of the nation’s favourite media personalities and celebrities who were more than happy to give me some hilariously entertaining interviews for my celebrity blog. Of course, when you speak to 2DAY FM’s Fifi Box, there are bound to be barrels of laughter; with glamorous Charlotte Dawson you learn a fashion tip or two; and with sassy songstress Jessica Mauboy you become motivated to unleash the inner bootylicious diva within you. This is exactly why these women are fun, fearless females themselves!

Whilst this event celebrated admirable women, don't worry - there was still plenty of male eye candy, with Stan Walker taking to the stage with three hot performances.

Ultimately, the winner of the Woman of the Year award was stellar actress Yvonne Strahovski, but the true victory of the night for us all was embracing the essence of what it means to be a fun, fearless female. Seize every opportunity, live life with confidence, make sure your frown is upside down and then you, my friend, are fun and fearless!
