5 Seconds of Summer Singer Snapchats 6 Seconds of Penis

Calum Hood (second from left in the above photo) is a member of Australian boyband 5 Seconds of Summer. 5 Seconds of Summer, or 5SOS, because they have an acronym, are a thing right now. A popular thing. I've made this joke before but it's a Friday afternoon so I stand by making it again, but in the United Kingdom, 5 Seconds of Summer is a joke you make about the weather, because that's what British people do, but I digress.

Calum indulged in a series of (presumably) sexy Snapchats with a 5SOS fangirl last night. In a tweet following the Snapchats going public, Calum confirmed the peen's authenticity in a string of semi-apologetic tweets:

His Snapchats culminated in a video of him revealing an erect penis from beneath a pair of crisp white boxer briefs. A pair of dark denim jeans with a white belt are carelessly unbuckled; a white tank top is rolled up to reveal taut abdominals. The video is accompanied by a single emoticon, the old school winking face. If you would like to see the peen vid, click this link to a Vine video which is captioned "CALUMS DICK IM SCREAMING #calumhood #5sos #calumsdick2k14#calumsnudes." Apostrophes are not included because, I believe, punctuation is considered v.passe by teens today. Are you screaming too? I am not, but it's fine if you are.

The inevitably-screencapped dick pics has been met by either excitement, confusion, or a nonchalant acceptance that an 18-year-old guy would be doing this kind of thing, celebrity status or not. Given that 5SOS haven't hit the peak of their likely-ascendent career as musicians quite yet, it's maybe a little unfair to compare the response to that of tween/teen starlets of years past (a la Miley, Vanessa Hudgens, and so on) taking sexy photos. But it's still worth noting that a guy baring all for the cameras is either celebratory/expected, whereas when a girl does so it's emblematic of her terribly loose morals. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with Calum deciding he should drop trou, because that's how mating rituals work these days. But let's not appease his nudity while shaming those of his female counterparts, OK?

5 Sexy Summer Flings—Should You Love Him or Leave Him?

The Situation: He's the Zach to your Kelly, and you love him and everything, but you're going to different colleges hours apart. Should you try to make it work long-distance or forget it?

What You Should Do: Ditch his ass.

Hear us out: It'll be hard, but holding on to your high school boyfriend is like holding on to your past. "College is your time to re-invent yourself, not spend hours on video chat talking to your high school flame while the rest of your dorm is exploring new adventures and making new friends," Battista says.

The Situation: You bonded over fetching coffees, bitching about your boss, happy hour drinks, and make outs. But should you take Intern Boy into fall?

What You Should Do: Hang out with him more outside of the office.

When you spend a lot of time with someone in a confined community, like the office, you can eventually catch feelings. But are you really that into him...in the real world? "Test out the waters to see if you two really are compatible," Battista suggests. "Let him know that you just want to see where things go." And if you decide that you do or don't want to officially date, be clear about it because no one likes to get led on.

The Situation: Everything was adventurous and exotic and sexy—should you try to keep the flame going IRL?

What You Should Do: Say adios/adieux/auf wiedersehen.

Chalk this up to a really blissful international fling. Long distance relationships are hard. International long distance relationships are even harder. According to Battista, "Unless you have a plan to share the same time zone in the near future (like say...move from Australia to Rydell High), chances are this relationship won't stand the test of time and space." Sexy memories of your boy abroad will last a lifetime, so appreciate it for what it is and go back to reality with a smile on your face.

The Situation: He was your go-to summer piece—the guy you hooked up with after the beach and the bars, but should you try to make him your boyfriend now that summer's ending?

What You Should Do: Keep him...for now.

Are you ready for a long-term commitment? Does he have what it takes to become your boyfriend? Chances are you haven't wanted to define the relationship, but that time has come, kids. "You both need to make a decision together about how to take it forward or leave it. Pretending it will just resolve itself as the leaves turn is a fantasy that can lead to hurt feelings and bad blood," Battista truth-bombs. But, there's no harm in keeping him around until someone who really wants to be your BF comes along.

The Situation: He's been super nice to you all summer, buying you drinks, and paying special attention to you on that group trip/in your share house. He's clearly into you, but do like him in the sexy way?

What You Should Do: Keep him.

This is your opportunity to decide if you want to take him out of the friend zone. "If the answer is yes, then begin to turn up the volume on your flirting and dial down the high fives and comments about getting in on his Fantasy Football league," says Battista. "Whether you begin to lean in to him when you talk, brush his shoulder, or just give him a quick peck on the lips vs. cheek the next time he drops you off, make sure you are overt. Men are terrified of the friend zone and need massive re-assurance to make the next move."

Need Summer Day-to-Night Makeup Inspiration? Follow Lea Michele's Lead

If you're anything like us, you're always on the hunt for makeup looks for your next night out.

Well, we've got two for you, and Lea Michele is flaunting them both...awesomely, we might add.

If you want an I'm-still-wearing-makeup-but-it's-not-OTT, then Lea's barely there smoky eye, subtly bronzed cheeks, and nude lip should be your go-to. This look is also the perfect day-date makeup, since it's not too intense.

Or, you could go for something that says smokeshow. If that's more up your alley, follow Lea's lead and go for lined eyes, loads of mascara, soft peach cheeks, and a bold berry lip.

Obvs we're obsessed with both of these makeup looks—and Lea Michele—but we want to know which one you're more into.

The Quickest Way to Pretty Feet This Summer

With Memorial Day weekend fast approaching and temperatures (finally) on the rise, we know you're going to be showing off your warm weather shoes of choice on the regular.

Sadly for us ladies, summer shoes often come with blisters, swelling, and red feet. We have the quickest fix for at least one of those.

Loni Albert, Cosmo's associate beauty editor, recently shared with us that she turns to a blue-ish teal shade (think Tiffany's box) when picking out a polish for her toes. The theory is that the cool blue color helps offset the redness on your feet—and it really works!

We gave this theory a go and are obsessed. But don't just take our word for it, try it out for yourself and let us know how you like it!

Here are a few pretty blueish-teal polishes to paint on: Essie Where's My Chauffeur, $8, essie.com, China Glaze Nail Laquer with Hardeners in Audrey, $7, drugstore.com, and Jin Soon Poppy Blue Nail Polish, $18, jinsoon.com.

Will you be using this quick trick to score sandal-ready feet this summer?

Summer Music Festivals: Attend At Your Own Risk

Summoning up the pluck of, say, two sassy tween twins who managed to get their estranged parents back together, Lindsay Lohan has somehow managed to convince the court not to send her to rehab until after the celebrity scene-heavy Coachella Music Festival.

However, her good friend Claus (Oh man, of COURSE one of her good friends is named Claus) thinks she's in a "dark place" that might be exacerbated by the festival's hedonism.

Says Claus, according to The Hollywood Gossip:

“I fear for Lindsay's life if she goes to the festival. Lindsay is in a very dark place right now, and I’m absolutely scared for her life. Coachella is the last place she needs to be. For someone struggling with addiction, like Lindsay, the amount of drugs and alcohol at Coachella is just a recipe for disaster waiting to happen. I know because I have been to the VIP tent at Coachella. Lindsay can turn it around, but she has to look deep inside herself and get the help she needs."

While I'm pretty sure at this point that Lindsay would find a way to get her drugs/sauce on everywhere from a VIP room to an empty Wendy's in Poughkeepsie at two-forty in the afternoon, it's true that music festivals are often a hotbed of hard drugs, booze, It-Girls, and rock stars/would-be-rock stars with their pants hanging down around their ankles.

Like MTV's transition from the heyday of the '80s, music festivals aren't really about the music anymore. But each festival has their own independent hazards. Here's what you have to fear on this year's circuit:

Coachella:
Trampling by concertgoers clamoring for the VIP room.
Karate-chopping by style photographer.
Death by trendy overalls.
Out-cooling by Alexa Chung.

Pitchfork:
Committing hara-kiri after mentioning a band that's totally over.
Smothering to death by beards.
Alcohol poisoning from $1 PBRs.
Irony overdosing.
Ejected for not wearing flannel and/or carrying Moleskine notepad.
Ejected for showing any kind of joy/movement to music rather than nodding head in time serenely.

Burning Man:
Consumption by giant turtle.
Cursing off by talking tree.
Overdosing on acid. (Actually, maybe this also accounts for the two above.)
Contracting mutant strain of VD.

SXSW:
Being crushed by errant stage light during filming of Portlandia parody episode.
Being mumblecored to death.

Why Gel Products are Perfect for Summer

Hot, sticky, summer months call for lightweight skin care and makeup—period. Think of it like this: You lighten up your wardrobe in the summer, so you should do the same with your beauty routine.

That's why we love gel-based products in the summer. They're better for your skin than lotions and creams when it's hot out because they let your skin breathe, don't clog your pores, and feel lighter on, says Sarah Neumann, MMS, PA-C, owner of Ahwatukee Skin & Laser, a general and surgical dermatology practice in Phoenix, AZ.

Plus, they don't cause acne flare-ups, since they're oil-free.

Three to try: Garnier Moisture Rescue Refreshing Gel-Cream, $6.29, cvs.com, Sue Devitt 70% Seaweed Gel Foundation, $38, amazon.com, Molton Brown Vitalising Vitamin AB+C Body Hydrating Gel, $39.06, amazon.com.

Will you be swapping out your usual lotion, cream, or foundation this summer?
