Former Miss Spain Becomes First Openly Gay National Beauty Queen

Patricia Yurena, a two-time former Miss Spain (2008 and 2013) and runner-up for Miss Universe in 2013, came out as gay when she posted a picture of herself and her girlfriend almost kissing to Instagram. It's a gorgeous shot and an exciting revelation; one that will hopefully support future gay beauty queens in living their truths while also wearing a shit-ton (technical term) of glitter and sky high heels. Work it, ladies.

"I published the picture completely spontaneously and in an impulsive manner. Thank you for all your support," she tweeted as a follow-up.

Yay, Yurena! Now, can you tell me how you get your hair so damn shiny and silky and smooth? It probably involves making a deal with the devil and then decapitating a unicorn, but it might be worth it.

2013's Signature Side-Swept Style Becomes Badass

You might be over the one-shoulder, seriously sexy, side-swept hairstyle, but since there are zero signs of it slowing down, we suggest taking a cue from Khloe Kardashian, Cara Delevingne, and Kristen Stewart and switching it up a bit. How? By weaving an intricate French braid (or three, like Khloe's!) into the side that's pulled taut—that's how.

Just so you know, we're into this style because of three reasons: 1. If we see another plain Jane side-sweep, we're going to lose our sh*t. 2. The braided side makes your mane look instantly badass and can really add to your overall look—even if you're just rocking jeans, a white tee, and pumps. 3. The petite plaits give a fresh take on what seems to be 2014's signature hairstyle. Thank you, sweet baby Jesus.

The only downside is that you might need your BFF's help to achieve this look—especially if you have no freaking clue how to French braid.

Jimmy Fallon becomes a father

Jimmy Fallon has become a father for the first time.

The talkshow host and his wife Nancy Juvonen welcomed a baby girl on Tuesday morning (July 23).

Fallon, 38, and 46-year-old Nancy, who runs production company Flower Films with Drew Barrymore, are "overjoyed about the arrival of their beautiful daughter", their rep told People.

The couple married in December 2007.

Fallon will take over The Tonight Show from Jay Leno next year.

NBC will alter the name of The Tonight Show slightly once Fallon becomes host.
