The Moment You've Been Waiting For: Win a $1000 Shopping Spree at Victoria's Secret!

To celebrate the biggest-ever launch of their new fragrance, Victoria's Secret is hooking up one lucky Cosmo girl with a $1000 gift card…and there’s no reason why that girl couldn't be you. Just think—with a grand to spend, you’ll be able to pick up enough of VS’s signature goddess-y beauty products, sexy little underthings, and chic loungewear to rule you Instagram selfies all summer...and beyond.

Speaking of selfies—the fresh, bold, fruity fragrance, Victoria, is meant to capture everything that is fabulous about being a sexy young thing, with bold apple/berry top notes and a deeper, more sensual base described as crème brûlée. (Yum.) It also contains VS's signature, trademarked rose blend, an up-to-the-minute update on the classic scent. We especially love the super-luxe bottle. Look for the fragrance launching online 7/18 and in stores 7/30.

To enter to win the $1000 prize, tweet or re-tweet @Cosmopolitan @victoriassecret #ShoppingSpree. Tell us your favorite Victoria's Secret beauty product, what you'd buy with a $1000, or why you love VS. (Make sure you follow both Twitter accounts, too.)

The contest ends July 30 at 11:59 p.m. EST, so get your tweet on now—you can enter up to five times. Check out the official contest rules here.

"I'm Not A Virgin—But I'm Waiting for My Wedding Night"

Way back when, women saved themselves for marriage all the time.

Now, a woman waiting to get down with her fiance 'til the night of their wedding is pretty damn rare.

But Jean S., 28, who got engaged last summer to her long-time boyfriend, Andrew L., 27, and is set to marry this September, doesn't fall into either of these categories.

Instead, the couple has decided to hold off on having sex until their wedding night...which is six months away.

"It actually kind of started by accident," Jean says. "We just realized we hadn't had sex in longer than usual because we had been so busy with work stuff, and we made a joke about it and somehow it turned into: 'Why don't we wait for the wedding?'"

Jean then said the joke turned into reality. "But then it was like, 'But why don't we wait for the wedding? It would make it even more special. And there's so much other stuff between us that's more important."

"It obviously won't be just like my first time all over again, but it'll be more special than a random Tuesday night. I think it'll add something. We're not having a super fancy wedding, either," she says.

The bigger question: How did she convince her fiance to go six months without sex?!

"Actually, he wasn't as against it as you would think," she said, laughing. "We've been really busy with moving, our jobs, and the wedding. Plus, there are plenty of other things besides regular old sex. We're not refraining from oral or anything. We're definitely both keeping ourselves and each other satisfied."

Well, then...

The Recap You May or May Not Have Been Waiting for All Day

Holy Guacamole. I have SO MUCH to report. To say that Wednesday was the most satisfying day of my life (with the exception of the day I graduated from college) would not do the events that took place justice. Let me start from the top:

So Ashley and two of my other friends stopped by my apartment to pre-game before we headed over to the alumni event. This mini get together was invaluable as it ensured that a) I was properly buzzed before running into people I haven’t seen since graduation and being asked, “Where’s Eric (The Ex)?” and b) that we arrived fashionably late. We walked in about an hour after the party started, and I literally came face to face with mah man, Trevor. When he saw me, he said, and I repeat verbatim, “Jos, wow, you look fantastic.” Three pointer! Touchdown! Goal! Whatever they say in sports! I hate it so I have no idea!

He offered to buy me a drink, and we were chatting at the bar when, I kid you not, Eric—ERIC—walked in. My heart was slamming in my chest—he had RSVP’d “no” to the Facebook invite, so I did not expect him to show up. Honestly, I probably wouldn’t have gone if I thought there was any chance he’d make an appearance. I would have been too worried about him showing up with his new girlfriend and me “accidentally” spilling a really bright, really sticky drink on both of them.

“Isn’t that your boyfriend?” Trevor asked, gesturing towards Eric.

“We actually broke up three months ago,” I said as easily and breezily as possible.

“Really?”

“Yup,” and damnit, if only I could wink! The moment was made for a wink.

Through out this conversation, I could just feel Eric’s eyes on us. So about half an hour later, when I excused myself to go to the bathroom, I wasn’t all that surprised when he made a beeline for me.

“Hey Josie,” he said, almost shyly.

“Hey Eric.”

“You look really great.”

Ah duh. “Thanks.” Well, good to see you.” I started to walk past him, but he put his hand on my upper arm and stopped me. Yes, just like in the movies!

“Josie, wait.”

I know I’m a scorned woman and that my perception may be slightly skewed, but I swear the look he was giving me right then was one that was filled with regret. I didn’t say a word, and there was a long moment of silence.

“I really miss you,” he finally said.

Anndddd there went my jaw, dropping to the floor.

“What about your other girlfriend?” I managed to ask.

“We aren’t together anymore.” El scandalo!

There were a million questions I wanted to ask—did you break up with her because you missed me? Did she break up with you because she sensed you missed me? Or did she cut you loose for some completely random reason and now you’re just assuming I’ll take you back? Why is the sky blue? But at that moment, Ashley intervened.

“Jos, I need you for a sec,” she said, giving me A Look. I gave her A Look back that said, “Go away, something is happening here!” And then SHE gave me A Look that said, “Be strong and don’t give him the time of day, he doesn’t deserve it.” And ugh, I am a sucker for all that girl power bruhaha, so I turned to Eric and told him I had to go.

“Can I call you?” he asked.

I quickly glanced at Ashley, who was giving me the Crazy Mother of All Looks, but I ignored her and nodded yes.

I’m so weak, I know! But this was my “person” for five years, and even though he dumped me, and he dumped me hard, I can’t help but still love him and miss him. Also, not gonna lie, it felt Suh-weet to see him grovel like that.

I didn’t see Eric again for the rest of the night, and even though I eventually made my way back to Trevor, I was too rattled by what had just happened to give our flirtation 110%. In the end, I think my mediocre interest worked to my advantage, because Trevor asked for my number and said, “We should go out sometime.” Why are boys evil warlords who are only into you when you appear to be less into them? I guess I shouldn’t complain, since I succeeded in getting a date with Trevor and had Eric groveling at my feet tonight…muhahaha.
