2011 is certainly the Year of the Wedding. So far we've had a Royal Wedding, a Rockstar-Supermodel Wedding and now a Reality Wedding. Yep, reality screen queen Kim Kardashian is finally a married woman, tying the knot with baskeballer Kris Humphries in an extravagant OTT ceremony fit for, well, a queen.
The 30-year-old star spared no expense for her big day, wearing not one, not two, but three (!) custom-made Vera Wang dresses, ultimately walking down the aisle in an ivory, strapless gown with a full tulle skirt and hand-applied Chantilly lace appliqué.
Co-maids of honour, Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian and bridesmaids Kendall and Kylie Jenner and Kris' sister, Kaela all wore ivory gowns inspired by Pippa Middleton's form-fitting Alexander McQueen gown. Kim's mother, Kris Jenner, also wore a statement Vera Wang dress, complete with an oversized bow. Kim's nephew, 21-month-old Mason was the ringbearer, and almost caused a near accident with mum Kourtney stumbling as she carried him down the aisle.
The 440 guests, who included Kim's stepbrother Brody Jenner and girlfriend Avril Lavigne, Lindsay and Dina Lohan, Spice Girl Mel B and hip-hop star Ciara, were all asked by the bride to wear only black and white. In keeping with her monochrome theme, even the 10-tier wedding cake was only chocolate and vanilla.
So, sad you missed out on all the action? Don't worry, you can still keep up with the Kardashians - the wedding will be televised in a two-part special in E!
