Nick Cannon Once Asked Kim Kardashian For An Open Marriage. I Can't Breathe.

Eons ago, before the Kimye Enlightenment and before Nick Cannon became Mariah Carey's official Sex and Love Butler, there was the Age of Cannondashian. Most homo sapiens alive in this era have perished, but left relics of Kim Kardashian and Nick Cannon's relationship depicted in crude drawings on the walls of caves all over the nation. These have been carefully preserved, as our only link to a time long gone, from which we can learn from and atone for in alternate measures.

One such item has been uncovered by Life & Style, which sheds some light on what we already knew: The two dated after meeting in September of 2006, when they were both 25, but ultimately broke up after she lied to him about the existence of the Ray-J sex tape. But is that actually why? Or is it because Cannon asked her if she'd be down to marry him but let him stick his one-eyed friction whistle all up into everybody in the Ten Mile Zone until death do them part?

According to a source: “He told her that if she married him, he’d build her the biggest mansion in Bel Air, they’d make beautiful babies and she’d have all the money that she could ever need... But while Kim was expected to be monogamous, Nick told her he wouldn’t be.”

Wow. First of all, it's not like Kim was selling matchbooks on the side of the road — she already had velour sweatsuits worth more than my grandma's life insurance policy. (And believe me, I've checked). Second of all... come on, Nick. You were still just the twerpy kid from Drumline.

Mariah would NOT stand for that bullshit. Right now Nick is meticulously gluing Swarovski diamonds onto her newest cast as she watches TRL and soaks in a tub full of rose petals and San Pellegrino.

Kourtney Kardashian Cut Bangs. See Them Here!

Meet the Beauty Bloggers

Carly Cardellino: I'm the beauty and fashion editor here at Cosmopolitan.com. I'll try just about anything once (I have the crop cut—my hair used to be super-long—and body wave to prove it) and then report back. I'm obsessed with hair products, like volumizers and salt sprays, as well as mascara, nail polish, a good foundation (right now I'm using Tom Ford Beauty Traceless Foundation SPF 15), and blush (it literally changes the way you look in seconds)—hopefully you can see why I'm in this business. I also love picking out head-to-toe outfits for friends whether they're going on a date with their guy or a black-tie wedding—so feel free to click on that "contact" link below and send me a question.

Leah Wyar: Ladies, I’m the DIY beauty guru. My specialties? Spray-tanning and mastering the at-home manicure. I’ve tried dozens of spray-tanning formulas and have mastered the art of the self-tan (don’t worry, I’ll share!). Plus, I paint on the hottest nail trends every week (currently I’m obsessed with the glitter and dark polish trend). Follow me as I branch out and perfect my DIY skills (up next: waxing!).

Marta Topran: I’m obsessed with making my skin as glowy as possible. That means trying out every anti-aging potion out there and never leaving the house without some sort of shimmery highlighter on my cheekbones. I’m also the resident brow and lash addict. Right now, I’m rocking super long lash extensions that I can’t believe I ever lived without.

The Softer (Makeup) Side of Kim Kardashian

It's easy to look damn good when you have a face like Kim Kardashian's. But, we also know that behind every gorgeous celeb there's a super talented makeup artist fine-tuning her best attributes.

Case in point: Pati Dubroff, beauty guru and creator of Kim's modern-retro look on our April cover.

We called up Dubroff to ask her a few Q's about her inspiration for the cover and how to recreate it. Here's what she had to say:

"Kim's look was based off of Sofia Loren, but a very soft version of her; I wanted it to be more as if Sophia was at home in Rome instead of her signature makeup," says Dubroff. "[Plus] Kim has one of the most incredible faces that can pull off that chic vintage glamour, so that's what urged me to go with this look; it's structured yet soft and not exaggerated."

Want to copy KK's Cosmo cover makeup? #Duh. Use a medium coverage foundation to get flawless skin and top it with a soft pink powder blush. Then, Dubroff suggests reaching for a brown eye liner (to keep the look soft; black tends to be more intense) and tracing your upper lash line, creating a subtle flick toward the outer corner of your eye. "The lashes weren't an over statement and the lip was soft, but the eye was elongated thanks to the wing I gave it, which was the nod to Sophia."

So, what do you think of Kim K's soft makeup? And, more importantly, when are you trying on this look?

Kim Kardashian Is Our April Cover Girl!

Four tiny bottles, each with a secret code name, sit on a shiny white table in front of Kim Kardashian, awaiting inspection. Inside the vials are versions of her latest fragrance, Glam, which is being tweaked to appeal to Japanese consumers. Whatever the 32-year-old beauty chooses today will be sold overseas under her name, so she is taking this smell-off seriously.

She waves each test strip in front of her perfect, pert nose. Opulence is too heavy for Asian tastes, she proclaims. Sequins? Too soft. "I don't even smell Glitzy anymore," she says, before settling on her choice: Geisha Garden. "Something tells me that's it," she tells the woman across from her, the brand president of her fragrance empire, who takes a note.

It's a lazy Sunday afternoon in Los Angeles, but Kardashian is hard at work. Pregnant but not showing, she's dressed in a filmy, gray-pink Lanvin top, a formfitting skirt, and pointy-toed Balmain heels. The Glam for Japan meeting is the first of three today; next up is a look at marketing materials for an upcoming fragrance (her sixth) and a strategy session with the heads of her online shoe company, ShoeDazzle.

This is probably not how you expected Kardashian's weekend to unfold. She is, after all, a girl who is famous for having fun—sometimes too much of it. On Keeping Up With the Kardashians, she's forever trying to drag her sisters, Kourtney and Khloé, out clubbing. While her 2006 sex tape with singer Ray J feels like ancient history, her 72-day marriage to basketball player Kris Humphries and her subsequent romance with singer Kanye West keep her constantly in the tabloids. It's hard not to assume that's by design.

But if the role of business mogul seems an unlikely fit, Kardashian is pulling it off. During the several hours we spend together in the offices of Jenner Communications, a familiar setting to anyone who watches E!, she stays on task and on time, rejecting a photo concept in a grassy meadow as "too bohemian for me" and insisting that her shoe website improve customer service ("There's nothing more annoying than when I'm trying to return something but I can't find somebody to talk to"). If the Kardashians are a corporation—reportedly the family has made up to $65 million a year—Kim is its CEO. And she has the schedule to prove it.

The day before our interview, she had flown home from Paris to L.A. The day after our sit-down, she will be on a 5 a.m. plane to New York to do press for the reality series Kourtney and Kim Take Miami. She and her sister Kourtney will appear on Today, The View, and the Late Show With David Letterman, where Kim, under attack from Dave, will explain that Humphries was "suing me for an annulment based on the fact that I frauded him into marrying [me] for publicity," and Kourtney will swiftly come to the rescue. "I think if she were going to do it for publicity," Kourtney will say with a smirk, "she'd pick someone that people knew." A day later, Kim will jet home to spend 24 hours with West in Beverly Hills, then hop on another plane to Africa's Ivory Coast to launch a cell phone, then fly back to Paris for Fashion Week, where she will do a photo shoot for her fragrance. In the coming days, she and her sisters will pose for ads for Khroma, their makeup company, and the Kardashian Kollection, a clothing line that sells in 16 countries. And on March 29, she's costarring (as a matchmaker!) in Tyler Perry's Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor.

Nonetheless, she tells me: "2013 for me is about scaling back. I want to focus on the few projects that I'm super passionate about and not spread myself too thin." To which I can only ask myself the same question that has nagged me since I first shook her hand: Is this girl for real?

Full disclosure: This is not the first time I've met Kim Kardashian. Our first encounter occurred five years ago on L.A.'s 101 Freeway when, inching along in bumper-to-bumper traffic, I rear-ended the woman famed for her bodacious backside. It was my fault completely. Which is why it seemed fitting that after slamming my aging Subaru into the tail end of her white Land Rover, it cost me $4,700 to fix my front end.

I tell you this not because I've been eating out on this story ever since (although I have), but because what sticks with me is how nice Kardashian was about the whole thing. Standing there on the narrow shoulder in her velour tracksuit, she could've been pissy or freaked out as we exchanged insurance information. Instead, she was sweet. No one was hurt. No big deal.

"In situations like that, emergencies, I'm super calm," she says, laughing when I reveal that I am the distracted driver who hit her in 2008. "Especially with material things, I feel like it's not the end of the world as long as everyone's safe. I'm like that in any stressful situation. Even when my father passed away, I sat down and I said to everyone, 'Okay, guys, what are we supposed to learn from this? We all need to grow up.'"

Khloe Kardashian Talks Body Confidence and Keeping Things Sexy with Lamar

Khloe recently teamed up with U by Kotex to launch Generation Know, a program that empowers girls to be the first generation to commit to learning more about their health and bodies and to share that knowledge with others.

The campaign features an online hub at generationknow.com, where girls can learn from experts and get involved in projects designed to create social change. For every girl that gets involved with Generation Know by visiting www.generationknow.com, U by Kotex will donate $1, up to $500,000, to Girls For A Change, a national nonprofit organization, to fund educational trainings across the country and help girls create social change within their communities.

We got to sit down with the gorgeous celeb to find out who in her life has empowered her, how own body confidence issues, and how she and Lamar keep things sexy.

Cosmo: Who in your life has empowered you to know more about yourself and your body?

Khloe: I've had a lot of really influential people in my life, like my grandmother MJ, who have helped me along the way. But there are so many of us girls in my family, and even though they're all so open and honest, who I seek advice from depends on what aspect of life I'm dealing with.

Cosmo: Because you have little sisters, does this program mean more to you?

Khloe: Generation Know is for women of any age, but I really struck a cord with it because of my little sisters. I'm so much older than them—my mom had Kendall when she was 40 and Kylie when she was 41—so I just wanted them to feel okay talking to me about whatever they wanted to, because I know some topics can be uncomfortable. I love when they talk to me about anything and everything, and everyone should have someone they can turn to, so that's why this campaign really resonated with me.

Cosmo: How did your sisters respond when you told them you were going to be the spokesperson for Generation Know by Kotex?

Khloe: They loved it because when I first signed up to do this program. They were younger and going through puberty, which meant they had questions but didn't want to ask my mom about them. So they come and speak to me directly about anything—even their friends ask me things, especially since some of them are only children and feel like they can't talk to their parents. I just think that knowing about your body at any age, whether it's educating yourself on fertility, getting mammograms, going through puberty—whatever it may be, is really important. I just really encourage women empowerment and being comfortable talking about these issues.

Cosmo: Obviously we all struggle with body confidence issues, but how do you deal with the ones you face?

Khloe: We're all our own worst critics and so hard on ourselves, but for me, my biggest insecurity is my arms. I just hate the tops of them. I workout and they still never look good enough for me. So, over the years I've learned to dress to make myself feel better. It's not like I'm eating donut after donut—I exercise and try to eat right, but dressing for my body type is key. I used to follow trends and try to do exactly what I saw in the magazines, but I'm not a Victoria's Secret model who can wear anything. [That said,] dressing for your body type comes with trial and error, but I know how to do it now.

Cosmo: Speaking of your body, what's Lamar's favorite part about you?

Khloe: That's funny, Lamar just was asked this question and he did say my ass, but I think that's a very guy or husband thing to say. But I don't mind it, I actually have a nice ass and I'm proud of it—it's the Kardashian booty and I own it. Big and beautiful, baby!

Cosmo: Since we're Cosmo, we're dying to know how you and Lamar keep things sexy?

Khloe: Lamar and I, during the NBA season, make a rule that I go to every single home game and then we go to dinners afterward and that's our time. And then when he is on the road, I make sure to plan a lot of my road work trips so that we're never really gone from each other too long. But Lamar is seriously so cute. He'll send me flowers for no reason and his texts are just so passionate. But my favorite part, which is one of the reasons I love going to his home games, is that he makes faces at me while he's playing, like subtly blowing me a kiss or something like that. So the fact that we send sweet texts and still flirt with each other [on and off the court] definitely keeps things fresh.

Want more of Khloe? Catch her making cameos on Kourtney & Kim Take Miami, Sundays at 9 p.m. EST on E! And if you want to learn more about or get involved with Generation Know, click here.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West: Did He Come On Strong?

We heard a rumor a few months ago that Kanye West and Kim Kardashian had a crush on each other, but we blew it off because it just seemed so…random.

But now several celebrity mags are reporting that the two are an item, and Kim was just photographed leaving Kanye’s apartment this morning in the same clothes she wore the night before.

Kim even told Ann Curry today that “Kanye and I have been friends for years… . You never know what the future holds.” Yeah, that doesn’t sound like a denial to us.

We can’t help but wonder if Kanye’s new song, “Theraflu” had something to do with their reported romance. In it, Kanye raps, “I admit I fell in love with Kim ‘round the same time she had fell in love wit’ him. We’ll, that’s cool, baby girl, do ya thing.” That’s a pretty bold statement to throw into a song, but it seems she must’ve been flattered by it.

What do you think? Did Kanye come on too strong?

Kim Kardashian Laughs Off Flour Bomb

March 23, 2012 at 10:18AM By Korin Miller |

It’s no secret that we love Kim Kardashian. The Cosmo cover girl is fun and spunky, and lately she’s proven she can hold her own in any kind of situation. Case in point, she was flour-bombed on the red carpet last night, and handled it like a pro.

Here’s what went down: Kim walked the red carpet at an event to promote her new fragrance line, True Reflection, when a woman dumped flour over her head and called her a “fur hag.” We might have totally freaked in that situation, but Kim just calmly walked off the red carpet, took off her jacket, brushed the flour off of her hair, and returned to the event.

Earlier this week, Kim took Jon Hamm down a notch in the classiest way possible after he trashed her work. And now she’s shown she knows how to act when someone throws you a curveball: Keep your head up, laugh it off, and move on.

Well played, Kim.

Jon Hamm Vs. Kim Kardashian: Whose Side Are You On?

Maybe it’s the whole Don Draper association, but we always thought Jon Hamm was a gentleman. That’s why we were floored earlier this week when he trashed reality stars and singled out Kim Kardashian in particular in an interview. To quote, Jon said, “Whether it’s Paris Hilton or Kim Kardashian or whoever, stupidity is certainly celebrated. Being a f---ing idiot is a valuable commodity in this culture because you’re rewarded significantly....It’s celebrated. It doesn’t make sense to me.”

Jon's comments about Kim were part of a bigger quote he gave about how he doesn't understand reality stars and how many of them have become famous.

Now, Kim is firing back on Twitter. And by “firing back,” we mean she took the express lane to the high road. Even though Jon said Kim’s “stupidity is celebrated,” Kim released this classy statement:

“I respect Jon and am a firm believer that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and that not everyone takes the same path in life. We’re all working hard and we all have to respect one another. Calling someone who runs their own businesses, is part of a successful TV show, produces, writes, designs, and creates, 'stupid,' is, in my opinion, careless.”

Late last month, experts told us the best way to deal with a hater is to put things in perspective and shake off their negative comments. Kim did both, but also managed to put Jon in his place in the nicest way possible.

Somehow we doubt Jon will have a response.

Kim Kardashian loves Aussie Cosmo!

Our gorgeous November cover girl, reality star and newlywed Kim Kardashian has been spotted strutting around New York in sexy draped dress, sky-high Louboutins and the accessory du jour - a copy of Aussie Cosmo, featuring none other than herself on the cover!

The star was snapped after visiting Lisa Wilkinson on the New York set of The Today Show where she talked about the coverline "I Have Cellulite, So What?". The famously curvy star admitted that in the lead up to her wedding, she didn't try to lose weight specifically, but tries to stay healthy and in shape.

"For me, I have cellulite, so what?" she said. "I try to do what I can to make it better, and I try and be healthy, but it's a reality for me so you can't really fight it."

Kim then went on to talk about her November trip to Australia to launch the Kardashian Kollection in Sydney... and also revealed who was coming with her! Watch the whole interview here.
