Geri Halliwell aka Ginger Spice Has a New Single

Geri Halliwell has performed her new single live on Australian TV.

The former Spice Girl plans to release new track 'Part of Me' on October 25, after working on new music over the past few years.

Halliwell debuted the track during a performance on the Footy Show in Australia last night (October 3).

The star recently revealed that she has been working with Ed Sheeran's songwriting team on new material.

"I'm writing a new album and we've been doing stripped down, acoustic sets - I'm progressing to new sounds," she said.

"Music for three minutes is like an antidepressant - it can lift you up, take you there, transport you to that first kiss, make love to it. Writing music should be joyful - I'm writing about love and filth."

Halliwell released three solo albums between 1999 and 2005 and scored number one singles with 'Mi Chico Latino', 'Lift Me Up', 'Bag It Up', and 'It's Raining Men'.

The singer is currently serving as a judge on Australia's Got Talent.
