Is SJP's Love Affair With Heels Over?

Though it doesn't look like it here, Sarah Jessica Parker's doctor suggested that she should cool it when it comes to running in heels.

Say whaaa?! We can't even picture SJP without a pair of sky-high heels on. What would Carrie Bradshaw think?!

But it's true, Parker is trading in her Manolos for more practical flats, stylish ones, of course. Sometimes.

The actress recently told Net-A-Porter's magazine that, "For ten or so years, I literally ran in heels. I worked 18-hour days and never took them off. I wore beautiful shoes, some better made than others, and never complained….[After an ankle injury] I went to a foot doctor and he said, 'Your foot does things it shouldn't be able to do. That bone there...you've created that bone. It doesn't belong there.' The moral of the story is, the chickens are coming home to roost. It's sad, because my feet took me all over the world, but eventually they were like, 'You know what, we are really tired, can you just stop?'"

Does this A-lister's realization make you want to take better care of your tootsies, and incorporate sneakers and flats into your shoe rotation?

We're all for taking a page out of SJP's fashion book and being nicer to our feet. Flats (sometimes), it is!
