Check Out These Birth-Control-Themed Cupcakes

Celebrating her last day in her OB/GYN clinic to become a lady doctor, Reddit user recycledpaper posted her birth control themed cupcakes for everyone to enjoy. Represented are the pill, the patch, Nexplanon implants, Nuvaring, and IUDs. As another user pointed out, these unfortunately are not cupcakes you can take every day in place of birth control pills. But fingers crossed someone makes those so women everywhere can prevent unwanted pregnancies and develop diabetes at the same time.

These 14 Photos of Dogs Eating Cakes Will Make Your Life

If you live on the East Coast, then you're probably already having a bad case of the winter blues thanks to the frigid temps and precipitation that just won't let up. And for the rest of the country, no matter what the weather, it's still just Wednesday, which means you're longing for Friday even though it seems forever away. Because of all that, we're going to let you in on a little secret. Here at Delish, when we're having a bad day, we like to look at exactly two things on the internet: cute dogs and cute cakes. And since this is a food website, we're going to do you one better ... we're going to show you some mind-blowingly adorable photos of dogs eating cake (and a few cookies). Here are 14 squeal-inducing pictures of dogs eating desserts that will lift your mood no matter what you're facing!

Marvel At J-Law and Bradley Cooper's Perm In These New American Hustle Movie Posters

American Hustle tells the story of the FBI’s infiltration of a 1970’s New Jerseyian crime syndicate. Pictured left to right: Jeremy Renner, who plays a corrupt politician; Jennifer Lawrence, who plays the “unstable” wife of an FBI mole; and Bradley Cooper, who plays the man of my dreams. Wait, I mean, Bradley Cooper plays the FBI agent running the operation. (Christian Bale and Amy Adams also feature; unfortunately, their movie posters aren't quite as worth looking at.)

But will it be possible to pay any attention to the film’s plot when Bradley’s perm is set to steal every scene it pops up in? No, it most certainly will not.

Are These Diet Pills Actually Legit?

Yes, yes, I know that regular exercise is good for my mind, body, sprit, and hopefully-never-saggy butt. I do my Pilates. I go to yoga. I recently bought boxing gloves so I can take those hardcore hit-the-hanging-bag classes.

But would I rather sit on my aforementioned bum eating salted caramel chip ice cream than sweat myself dizzy at the gym? Um, yeah.

So, not gonna lie, I'm more than a bit interested in some new research that may allow us to exercise without actually moving. A team of researchers injected a protein called REV-ERB into overweight mice, and it helped them not just lose weight, but caused them to use more energy throughout the day—even when they were just laying around.

Basically, the protein made it seem like the mice had exercised, even though they did nothing of the sort. And when the protein was given to active mice, the little guys were able to run longer (time-wise and distance-wise) without any training.

I won't hang up my gloves or put away my yoga mat just yet, but if this is the future—taking a pill that does your exercising for you—then it sure is bright for lazy peeps like me.

(H/T goes to the New York Times for this find.)

Feeling Puffy? Try These Quick Beauty Tricks!

We get that some days you don't feel like a million bucks. Don't worry, we've been there too.

Whether you have your period and are bloated, cried all night because you just broke up with your man and thus look a bit on the puffy side, or have a more round-shaped face than you'd like—not feeling your best pretty much sucks.

So, in addition to throwing on your go-to "OMG, I look amazing" outfit to boost your confidence from one to Beyoncé, here are a few makeup tricks that'll also help you feel your best.

Wing it. Tracing your upper lash line and creating a flick at the outer corner brings the entire eye and the focus upward, creating the illusion of a less puffy face.

Layer on a lot of mascara. If you have a round face and would like it to appear more narrow, an easy way to bring the focus toward the center of it is to amp up your lashes with a few healthy doses of mascara. The bigger your eyes look, the more real estate they take up on your face, helping to draw the eye inward.

Contour your cheekbones. Contouring has long been known for its ability to give you serious bone structure and to create the look of a thinner face. Want chiseled Gisele-like cheekbones that call for mad attention? Here's how to get in on the contouring action.

Wear earth-toned makeup. Applying neutral shades to your eyes, cheeks, and lips keeps the eye moving. Translation: When someone looks at you, their eyes won't be instantly attracted to a bold eye or lip color. This is pertinent info if you're feeling puffy—especially because color draws attention, so if you're feeling subpar, this is a good way to stay under the radar.

Go for a structured brow. Doing your brows daily is the quickest way to shape your face. It's almost like putting on a blazer. If you want to look and feel skinny, a structured blazer will give that polished, put-together vibe. A cleaned-up brow does the same for your face, giving it structure.

Hey, Hey...It's Earth Day and These Beauty Products Give Back in a Major Way

Earth Day isn't just for the crunchy granola types. Even you, the deodorant-wearing, makeup-loving girl, can make a difference when it comes to this day that's all about giving back to our planet.

Take these beauty products for example:

Tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Eye and Cheek Palette, $38, tartecosmetics.com. Not only are there awesome waterproof neutral matte and shimmery eye shades in this palette, there's a two-tone bronzer and a coral cheek shade that's universally flattering, too. Why we're touting it for Earth Day? It's made of recycled materials and it's recyclable once you've used it all up.

Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil + Radiance, $48, josiemarancosmetics.com. Model Josie Maran created the Model Citizen Campaign in honor of Earth Day to give back in some way. This year, she teamed up with Vampire Diaries' Ian Somerhalder and together they created the limited-edition packaging for the existing argan oil product within her line (made from recycled glass that's also recyclable once you've blown through it). Regardless of how you use it—as a moisturizer, cuticle treatement, hair hydrator, oil regulator—you can rest assured that ten percent of sales will be donated to the Ian Somerhalder Foundation, founded by the actor and activist, to help build the ISF Animal Sanctuary. A project dedicated to rehabilitating neglected, mistreated and misunderstood animals.

Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask to Clear Pores, $19, origins.com. This complexion-clearing mask draws dirt and bacteria out of your pores, unclogging them thanks to white china clay, which absorbs environmental toxins and lecithin that helps dissolve impurities. As if this mask could get any better, for every one sold, Origins will plant a tree from April 21 to April 28—and it's packaged in 50 percent Forest Stewardship Council certified paperboard with 50 percent post-consumer recycled fiber.

The Limited-Edition Kiehl's Since 1851 Ultra Face Cream, $47, kiehls.com. On behalf of the limited-edition Earth Day line, in which two celebrities Alanis Morissette and Zachary Quinto designed the packaging for, Kiehl's will donate $50,000 to Recycle Across America to help make recycling more simple and effective in schools across the United States. The not-for-profit organization is dedicated to delivering society-wide solutions that eliminate public confusion, stimulate the environmental economy, and expedite progress. Bonus: The face creams come in recyclable packaging.

Aveda Light The Way Candle 2013, $12, aveda.com. The latest candle from Aveda gives off a spicy aroma of vanilla, cinnamon, and ylang ylang, created with 100 percent certified organic ingredients. Plus, the glass that encompasses it is made from 100 percent reclaimed beverage bottles and packaged in 70-90 percent post-consumer recycled paper, including some leftover Aveda packaging scraps. #Awesome.

So, will you be giving back to the planet in a beautiful way by picking up these get-pretty products?

These Two Pink Polishes Aren't Your Average Top Coats

moving cross country, finding a great partner... or lobbing off all your hair a la Karlie Kloss). But don't fret: It's not an impossible task. It just takes some thought—and great advice.

"A lot of times people don't like what they're doing in their current job, but they haven't defined what they want to be doing in their potential new job," Nicole Williams, career expert and author of Girl On Top, tells Cosmopolitan.com.

She says nabbing your dream job starts with doing some soul-searching: "I ask people to assess components of their current working life, and match them against the career they are looking to get into."

Try asking yourself these questions...

Time: How many hours do you want to work and in what kind of environment? Big company, small, telecommute, work-from-home flexibility (you know, the kind banned at Yahoo!)

Challenge Level: How important is growth potential and being challenged to you? Are you ambitious and ready to lean in, or just looking for a 9 to 5 to fill your time?

Work Environment: Define your best possible scenario in terms of work relationships. Who are you working with and for? What kind of boss would be ideal? Do you have dreams of becoming a boss?

Passion: How important is passion to you? For example, a woman we know races triathlons and feels like she doesn't need to be passionate about her job; her passion is attached to her sport.

6. Money: How much do you need to make? How much money do you want to make?

Steps To Making A Career Change

Stop Delaying

"The longer you are in the job you are thinking of leaving, the further away you are from new opportunity," says Williams. "It doesn't get any easier. Doing it earlier is emotionally, mentally and professionally better."

Be Willing To Sacrifice Something

You may have to start from the bottom (or the middle) and work your way to the top; Either way, be ready to drop a few rungs on the corporate ladder.

"Internships can be a good idea—or be willing to take a pay cut," says Williams. "If this internship, for example, introduces you to influential people and helps develop a skill-set, you'll be able to take these things to leverage them into a bigger position."

Start Saving

"Have a solid idea of the risk and savings in the bank," advises Williams. Even if it means cutting back on luxuries. "If you know the internship is going to last for six months at a minimum, that's the number you need to have in savings, and I normally advise 10 to 20 percent in savings as a risk buffer."

Network

"People love to talk about themselves," says Williams. "Find them on LinkedIn and through people you know, and consult with them."

Williams suggests asking those in similar fields questions like, "I wonder if you'd speak to me about your day-to-day life; What do you love most about the work that you do; What do you wish you would have known going into this career?"

"Those kind of questions are going to give you the information you need and will help you know the people you are going to need to know," she adds.

Now that you are armed with more than just your resume and a fresh manicure, it's time to start hitting the pavement. Happy hunting, gals.

These Two Pink Polishes Aren't Your Average Top Coats

We're already obsessing over spring's pink palette, but these two new polishes really sent us over the edge.

They can be worn alone or over your favorite polish. Here's the deal:

The Dior Nail Glow Nail Enhancer, $24, nordstrom.com, amps up the color of your natural nails and brightens the whites of your tips, creating a “healthy glow” effect. Even cooler, the unique sheer pink color adapts to each person’s skin tone, giving you a one-of-a-kind shade. How's that for custom color?

And the limited-edition YSL Couture Tie & Dye Pop Coat 02, $25, ysl.beauty.us.com, can be worn alone for a candy-coated glittery look, or layered over any polish, giving it a three-dimensional, tie-dyed effect. But the polish this top coat pops best with though is its partner in nail crime: The YSL La Laque Couture Rose Renaissance, $25, ysl.beauty.us.com.

What do you think of these two chic top coats? Will you be layering one on asap?

Would You Wear These Pants?

Whitney Port recently stepped out in Australia at an in-store appearance at Sportsgirl in Melbourne's Bourke street store wearing two-toned pants: one leg was covered in animal print, the other in classic black. It's a new design from her clothing line, Whitney Eve.

The Cosmo cover girl (May 2009) once told us this: "[You have to] own your own fashion sense because following trends is no way to be unique." Apparently that wasn't just lip service, since Whitney is clearly owning this look like no other.

What are your thoughts—would you wear this daring look?
