Okay, so we might not be over what Kristen Stewart did to Robert Pattinson, but we can't deny how gorgeous she looked at the Toronto International Film Festival premiere of her new movie, On the Road. Everything from her half-up, half-down 'do to her pop of pink lipstick to her stunning floral dress, which looked amazing on her.
Now, back to her hair. We've been seeing a lot of celebs sport half-up hair, a huge trend for fall, so if you want to pull off a look like Kristen's, follow celebrity stylist Kristan Serafino's how-to:
1. Tease the section (using a teasing comb) of hair along your hairline that falls between the outer corner of your left eye to the outer corner of your right eye.
2. Lightly smooth your hair over the teased area using a boar bristle brush.
3. Gather your hair near the top of your ears and pull it toward the crown of your head.
4. Take all the hair at the top of your head (the center teased area and sides you just gathered) and twist it twice to make sure both sections stay together.
5. Secure the twisted hair to your head by criss-crossing two or three bobby pins.
6. Light coat your hair with a flexible hold hairspray to keep it in place.

There's a difference between dewy, hydrated skin and a downright shiny complexion. But it's hard to keep your oil glands in check when the hot summer heat has them in overdrive. So, if you're going on a day date or planning on being out all night with your girls, here's how to keep your skin shine-free.
1. Apply a primer, like L'Oréal Paris Studio Secrets Professional Magic Perfecting Base, $10.97, amazon.com, after your moisturizer and before your foundation. This will help anchor your base makeup so it won't slip off if you do get a little sweaty (hello, it is 90 degrees out).
2. Look for an oil-free foundation that also contains oil-absorbing ingredients, such as willow bark extract. One to try: Clinique Stay-Matte Oil-Free Makeup, $23, amazon.com.
3. If you're not a foundation kind of girl and like to use a colored powder instead, pick up one that also contains oil-absorbing ingredients, like rice protein. Dust Neutrogena Shine Control Powder, $12.99, amazon.com, all over your face or just along your T-zone and expect to have matte-looking skin for up to eight hours straight.
4. If you have oily skin, consider blotting papers your new best friend. They help keep excess oil production under control throughout the day, leaving you looking fresh-faced. One we recommend: NYX Cosmetics Tea Tree Blotting Papers, $8.39, amazon.com.

Mini skirts are a summer-to-fall favorite, but the latest minis we've been seeing on celebs like Smash star Katharine McPhee, designer Charlotte Ronson, and Revenge actress Ashley Madekwe aren't your average second-skin short skirts. Instead, they're an equally sexy, short yet flowy version. Celebrity stylist Robert Verdi gives us the scoop on how to wear this style with sass—and class.
- These skirts work on any body type, since they're more forgiving, compared to an ultra-tight, super-short mini. They also give minis a bit of innocence, thanks to their Catholic school-girl appearance.
- The biggest offense for the mini skirt is the wrong shoe. But with a flowy, short skirt, you can wear just about any shoe—bootie, open-toe strappy sandal or heel, a sexy, sky-high pump, or a peep-toe with an ankle strap.
- Anytime you're planning on wearing a mini and want it to look a little more casual, throw it on with a wedge. This style of shoe instantly downplays the skirt's dressiness. You can also wear a ballet flat if you're going on a day date and want your outfit to look more relaxed.
- Want a polished look? Wear a blouse with a collar and tuck it in, like Katharine and Ashley did here. If you want a more casual appearance, follow Charlotte's lead and pair it with a not-too-tight-not-too-billowy top. You want your shape to be seen, so if you wear anything too loose, you'll end up looking frumpy.
- If your skirt is a solid color, you can also play with patterns up top. This instantly makes the shortness of the skirt feel less scandalous.
- Since we're headed into fall, you can even layer up with a biker jacket or men's style blazer. The motorcylce jacket will add a touch of edge, while the men's style blazer adds masculinity to your otherwise ultra-feminine outfit.
- Whatever you do, avoid wearing belts with mini skirts. They tend to sit a little higher on your waist and adding a belt into the mix will often make your torso look shorter than it actually is.
