"Frozen" Producer Crushes Your Dreams, Says a Sequel Is Not a Priority

Frozen producer Peter Del Vecho has said that it is "too early" to talk about a sequel to the popular Disney film.

He told TVGuide.com that the proposed Broadway production of Frozen is currently the priority.

He said: "Certainly you can't go on the internet without that question coming up. Right now, it's too early for us to talk anything about that.

"What we have talked about is a Broadway show, which is under development. There's no specific timeline for that. Jen [Lee] will be involved in that, Chris [Buck] will be involved.

"It'll get produced from our theatrical unit. That's the next logical step for the project."

A special documentary, The Story of Frozen: Making an Animated Classic, will air on ABC on Tuesday (September 2), and Del Vecho has promised that it will give fans the chance to hear "from the filmmakers themselves".

He promised that the documentary will go into "a little bit more depth" about the making of Frozen, which has broken records worldwide.

Frozen has become the highest grossing animated movie of all time, and was the winner of the Best Animated Feature Award at this year's Oscars.

BET Producer Suspended Over Tasteless Blue Ivy Joke

Following last weekend's VMAs, a skit on BET's 106 and Park Monday listed the "top six things Blue Ivy thought" during the night's ceremony. Because, you know, she came up on stage and had a moment with her folks and it was adorable. Except the show's producers decided to take a rather sharper tone, and had guest presenter Karrueche Tran read out the following:

Yes, #4 on the list is a bad taste joke about Blue's hair, because apparently Bey and Jay's busy schedules mean it's "never combed." It's a riff off of Beyonce's "Flawless" lyrics, sure, but not a good one. Karrueche (Chris Brown's on/off girlfriend) does look sort of embarrassed by the bad taste punchline, and apologized — through some giggles — immediately after reading out her lines. Feeling the Beyhive's wrath online, she also tweeted an apology later that day:

She added a longer missive via Instagram Wednesday night, which allude to "death threats" she claims to have received, and reads as follows:

Past two days have been extremely draining... I apologize to any and everyone who felt offended in any way by the comments made by BET executed through me... I would never disrespect anyone's child in any way and anyone who knows me knows that I LOVE Beyoncé. My comments have been in complete shambles... yes I am human too and yes I do make mistakes.. But all this negativity and death wishes are quite a lot.. Definitely a lesson learned from here forth... Again, on behalf of MYSELF, my sincerest apologies.

BET executives have also apologized — both to Blue Ivy and Karrueche. The network's president of music programming and specials said that the joke was "stupid [and] unthoughtful," particularly when directed at a young child; he said BET had reached out to Beyonce and Jay Z privately, also. And a source tells Page Six a 106 & Park producer, presumably the person responsible for the skit's script, has been suspended.

ABC News Producer Don Ennis Comes Out</br> As Transgender

In my opinion, there’s never been a better time to come forward as a LGBT individual in an environment that would have been hostile towards it just ten years ago. Things have changed post-Glee, post-Jason Collins, post-Brittney Griner, post-Laura Jane Grace, post-a whole other bunch of positive stuff for the LGBT community that I'm probably forgetting.

However, the T in LGBT – transgender – is probably the least-understood frontier and last to be accepted by the mainstream. But that ignorance may end if more prominent people speak out about it: ABC News editor and producer Don Ennis announced last week that she would be leaving her wife of 17 years, Wendy, and, at 49 years old, starting over as a woman (Dawn), reports the New York Post. And the reveal was full-throttle awesome: She walked into her office on Friday in a “little black dress” and a brunette bobbed wig and announced to colleagues that from now on, she would like to be known as Dawn.

Dawn wrote on her Facebook: “Please understand: This is not a game of dress-up, or make-believe. It is my affirmation of who I now am and what I must do to be happy, in response to a soul-crushing secret that my wife and I have been dealing with for more than seven years, mostly in secret.”

As for Dawn's wife, she sounds extraordinarily understanding about the whole thing. "Despite the heartbreak, [Wendy] has encouraged me to start this new life that we both believe better fits who I now am. Trust me, this is NOT the midlife crisis I was counting on — I’d much prefer to have bought a sports car. Even an affair, I think, would have been something we might have recovered from."

Ennis attributes her desire to live as a woman to a "rare hormone imbalance" thanks to the female hormones that her mother gave her as a child actor.

Best of luck to her.
