Speaking on the Today show, Patton explained that she knew all about the twerkfest in advance, and so “expected it to be wild.” What she didn’t expect, she said, was the reaction afterwards: “You know what’s so funny, he finished it, I said that’s great, you guys killed it, gave him a hug; woke up the next morning, it was like… I got all these texts, like, ‘praying for you,’ Hey, I’m here for you.’ I’m like what? Whoa, what is everybody doing..?”
Meanwhile, Cher took to Twitter to retract previous criticisms of Miley’s performance, and say she felt bad about it all.
