Ke$ha Cancels Tour Dates, Concentrates On Wellness

As she continues to receive inpatient treatment for an eating disorder, Ke$ha confirmed last night that upcoming dates on her Warrior Tour will be postponed — one March show in Indiana, and one April show in Wisconsin. They follow a concert in Dubia, previously scheduled for this month, which the singer had canceled to undertake her rehab stay. In a statement to People, Ke$ha apologized to fans missing out and said, "I was so looking forward to performing at these dates but I need to follow my doctor's advice and get my health back on track."

And as she appears to have extended her stint at the Timber Knolls clinic  — originally set for a 30-day program, she's now in her second month there — it seems she's taking her doctor's advice very seriously.

The 10 Crazymaking Guys Everyone Dates (Once)

The “flirts with everybody” guy. When we go to some Da Club or another, there is absolutely no reason I should be trying to fend off some leering dude with a ZZ Top beard because you are preoccupied with hitting on the bottle service girl. Vaya con dios.

The “won’t go down on you” guy. There is literally no good excuse not to do this if we just gave you oral sex. Quid pro quo, motherfucker. And if you’re one of those dudes who insists that cunnilingus is “more intimate” than blowjobs, you’ve obviously never had an erect penis knocking against your tonsils.

The “nobody knows she’s pretty except me because she wears glasses!” guy. This dude prides himself on finding “understated” hotties in the wild. By “understated,” of course, we mean the She’s All That principle of “an obviously smokin’ hot woman who happens to wear glasses/Converse sneakers/doesn’t ‘know’ that she is attractive.” This is less menacing than dating a woman who is actually physically self-confident and aware of her own sex appeal.

The "searching for his Manic Pixie Dream Girl" guy. Like parasites with twee scores, Garden State, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and 500 Days of Summer have wormed their way inside certain dudes' brains and convinced them that all they need is a woman who will Make Them Feel Alive. (Read: A woman who is beautiful, a nympho, sort of crazy, probably dyes her hair with Manic Panic, and says shit like "I can smell colors! Can't you?! Life!!") This does not include sane, normal women who like eating burritos, watching TV, and having other interests besides teaching him how to Paint With All The Colors of the Wind, or whatever the fuck. Vomit.

The “cannot or will not make plans in advance” guy. Clarification: There is a branch of this type who is fully aware that making dates in advance signifies that you respect the woman and want to be legit with her — and, knowing this, purposely avoids any pre-planning besides a 7 PM text for a 11 PM booty call so as not to give you “the wrong idea.”

The “but I’m such a nice guy!” guy. Unlucky in love, he harps on the oversold rom-com concept that women only like assholes. The truth is that women are Human Beings (I know, it’s shocking) who like men who have more than one side to them, not just selections from the category of “asshole” or “nice guy.” Say, someone who will go to Anthropologie with you to pick out curtains and then fuck the shit out of you. Unfortunately, this guy is so busy patronizing the motives of women who dump him to realize that.

The “your job is so adorable” guy. This guy takes advantage of every opportunity to be condescending about your career, even if his own (or lack thereof) is far less impressive. Or — if you are in a creative career — that your parents foot the bill. I once sat through an entire dinner of my date making jokes about my job as a “penis article writer.” (He was an unpaid intern at a Brooklyn literary magazine.)

The awful/ambiguous text messager. While you and your female friends effortlessly send texts so articulate that they’re practically Shakespearean, dudes are generally not quite there yet. If you find a guy who can banter on text, marry him. Just kidding, kind of!

The “bad in bed but unreceptive to suggestions” guy. His moves aren’t doing it for you, but you can tell he really wants to please you, and has so much confidence in his dumb-ass moves. Is it because his last girlfriend really liked them? Was she a mutant whose clit was in the wrong place? You don’t want to hurt his feelings, and you appreciate that he is enthusiastic about getting you off, but your eyeball cannot withstand any more licking.

The guy who is a dick to people in the service industry. The guy who turns to you after a Hispanic busboy leaves the table and says, “Dude, you’re in America. Speak English.” You are actually doing the entire free world a disservice if you let that guy inside you.

The dude who quotes Peter Griffin from Family Guy. He thinks racist, sexist jokes are funny just for “shock value.” He likes Daniel Tosh and spits out “Make me a sandwich” jokes like an endlessly unfunny batting cage pitching machine. If you ask me, all that alpha-male peacocking just means he is trying to overcompensate for the fact that he has a fetish for having a woman stomp on his balls in high heels while calling him “Amanda.”

25 Dates You'll Actually Want to Go On

Sneak into a nice hotel through the lobby and beeline to the pool area. Spend the afternoon swimming, Jacuzzi-ing and lounging about like you’re on vacation.

Find a unique restaurant at least an hour away from your place and road trip there for lunch one Saturday, just because.

Have your futures read by a string of psychics in your area, then compare to see if any of their predictions match up.

Pick a random cocktail you’re both into, like a Sidecar or Manhattan, and conduct a taste test at three different bars to see who makes it best.

Celebrate Taco Tuesday by hitting up the best Mexican place in town and ordering up as many as you both can eat. Wash them down with a few festive margs.

On a rainy day, grab a DVD, two pairs of headphones and your laptop, then head to a café. Grab a table in the corner and sip coffee as you turn the place into your own personal theater.

Snag tickets to a minor league soccer game (or any other sporting event in your town) and try to get some spectator chants started when the home team scores.

Go to a museum, pick one room to chill in and spend the afternoon checking out the tourists instead of the exhibits.

Pick up a bucket of sidewalk chalk at a craft store (vintage!) and create a masterpiece together on the sidewalk at a local park.

Tour a local winery and ask to blind-sample different varieties during the tasting afterward. Test whether you can distinguish the different notes, and take turns guessing which is which based on what you remember from the guide’s spiel.

Split a pitcher of brew at a nearby sports bar. Once you’ve had a few pints, challenge him to a game of darts—loser buys the next round.

Go on an impromptu gelato crawl in your town—just like a pub crawl, but with ice cream. (Genius, we know.) Cut the sweetness by splitting a plate of bacon fries at a greasy diner afterward.

Go to a hipster bar and see who can play the most popular classic rock song on the jukebox.

Take a wonton-making class together and pick up tips for your next dinner party. Marvel over your mad wrapping skills post-class over a glass of sake.

When it’s nice out, rent a kayak and spend an hour or two enjoying the afternoon while paddling around on whatever body of water is closest.

Splurge on the fanciest-looking steaks you can find at a butcher shop, then take them back to your place and sip on vino as you grill them up for a nice dinner in.

Meet up at a used bookstore and pick out a few quirky books for each other to read.

Sign up for salsa lessons at a local dance studio (keep an eye on Groupon—they run deals all the time). Then the next weekend, go to a club together and take over the dance floor.

Take a cheesy haunted walking tour of your city. You’ll see the place in a whole new way, and who knows—you might even get spooked.

Go for wings and attempt to sample one in each flavor, no matter how spicy. Whoever makes it to the hotter variety gets bragging rights and a free meal.

Search around your area for a Classic Car Club—they’re everywhere, and essentially rent out luxury, old-school cars to members. Get a one-day pass and spend the afternoon cruising the town together in your sweet new ride.

Go to a Japanese teahouse and relax as you enjoy an authentic tea service, which traditionally includes pouring ceremonies and other cool rituals.

Find the schedule for a local music venue and go to a concert for a band neither of you has heard of. If you’re into them, hang around afterward and see if you can snag an autograph.

One Saturday, have your guy meet you at the local animal shelter and volunteer to walk a few of the dogs through the park.

Book the chef’s table at your favorite fancy restaurant and watch your meal come together from scratch as the chef works his magic in the kitchen.

20 Romantic Dates to Try With Your Guy

Go to a bar on karaoke night and grab two seats with a prime view of the stage. Huddle up and spend the evening making like you’re Christina A. and Adam L., critiquing the participants on the sly a la The Voice.
