Basketball and Oatmeal Are the Secrets to Nina Agdal's Bikini Body

The countdown has begun.

Beach season is creeping up on us whether we're ready or not, so we can either run for cover or start getting ready to uncover—our hot beach bods, that is.

So who better to ask about how she stays in string bikini shape—all year long—than Sports Illustrated model Nina Agdal, the Danish 20-year-old who has made a living off of looking ridiculously good?

Unlike most women, "I feel better wearing a bathing suit than I do wearing clothes," Agdal admits, making us hate/love her even more. How can civilians such as ourselves even attempt to capture this mystical confidence?

For one, "regular workouts and choose healthy carbs," she says.

Agdal, who's also a Victoria's Secret model, naturally, also emphasized the importance of snacking between shoots (or, in our case, mundane work assignments?)

"I always keep a snack pack with me, which includes oatmeal, granola bars and hot chocolate," she said.

(Don't feel bad if the thought of oatmeal makes you gag. Even Agdal says: "When I cheat, I usually pick a nice big juicy cheeseburger with french fries!" And considering she appeared in the commercial for Carl's Jr. at the Super Bowl, it makes sense.)

As for those workouts, Agdal may be more genetically blessed than some (okay, most), but that doesn't mean she doesn't hit the gym. Hard.

"Twenty to thirty minutes of cardio, normally I run, and do at least thirty minutes of weights," Agdal says of her daily routine, adding that she also does at least thirty minutes of ab work to get and maintain that sexy stomach. "Another form of exercise for me is basketball. I played growing up in Denmark and it always used to be my favorite sport."

Agdal thinks of the full package before stripping down. "It's important to me to have smooth skin. I go to European Wax Center and get certain areas waxed. They have a great exfoliator, The Exfoliate, that I try to use at least once a week."

But the model keeps the rest of her beauty routine relatively simple. "I'm not fancy when it comes to beauty products," the fresh-faced Dane said. "I like the smell of Garnier Fructis, so I use that. I travel at least four days a week, so I have grown a new love for hotel shampoos."

We're not yet convinced we'll look like Nina on the beach this summer, but that just may be our problem!

"I think it's always important for any woman to feel beautiful in a bikini, regardless of shape or size," she asserts. "Confidence goes a long way."

Amanda Seyfried Has a Bikini Line Problem, Too

Reason No. 8,000 why we love Les Miserables star Amanda Seyfried: She's not afraid to talk about the not-so-awesome parts of life.

Case in point? The actress revealed in a recent interview that she deals with razor burn and ingrown hairs, too.

"Yes, I have parts of my body that I don’t necessarily love," she said. "Like I have red bumps around my bikini line."

Ugh, those little red bumps are the worst. Our 2013 goal is to banish the redness for good, so we asked dermatologist Ariel Ostad, MD, for a few tips.

"First, exfoliate to avoid build up of dead skin cells," he advises. Then, use products containing salicylic acid like a Tend Skin.

We can vouch for this one. Tend Skin helps keep swelling and infection down, much like acne meds do for breakouts on your face. It does dry out the skin, though.

Dr. Ostad also recommends asking your dermatologist for topical antibiotics to reduce redness and infection. If all else fails, consider laser hair removal.

"It's the most effective and lost-lasting solution," Dr. Ostad says. Be sure you talk to your doctor before plunking down the cash, though: Lasers don't work on all skin types. And, yeah, they're more expensive.

Daniel Radcliffe Doesn’t Dig Bikini Waxes

It’s no secret that former Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe is all grown up—he reportedly gets naked in his new thriller The Woman in Black, he looks pretty cute these days, and, oh yeah, he’s 22. But we still did a double-take when we read a recent article that featured him talking about…pubic hair.

In an interview with Britain’s The Sun newspaper, Daniel confessed that he isn’t much for man-scaping, although he does a bit of maintanence “for courtesy.”

He also added that he’s not a fan of fully-waxed va-jay-jays, saying it “freaks me out.” Daniel added: “You have to have something, otherwise it’s f---ing creepy.”

So, hmm—that’s where Daniel stands on the issue. If you’re a fan of the totally smooth look down there, the good news is if you got the chance to hook up with Daniel, you could always slip on one of those new fox fur merkins from NYC’s luxury spa, Completely Bare.

But we’re not sure how we feel about altering your pubic hair to please a man: On the one hand, you want him to like what you’ve got going on; on the other, it’s your va-jay-jay.

Would you change your pubic hair for a guy?
