The Facial Features to Look For in the Man of Your Dreams

What you want to do is look for what is most noticeable on his face: what's largest, what's smallest, and what is most unusual. That's not to say that you need to pick them apart or anything. These are just the main features to look for in the five most common types of guys, so that you can pinpoint your potential partner.

1. The lover or the performer: These are the fun-loving men. They love excitement, have a good sense of humor, and they love to be in love. Also, with this type of guy, in the bedroom, he's all about love and romance.

If this is your type of guy, the facial features to look for include:

Red hair or naturall curly hair — like Justin Timberlake's — or someone who is bald: This is a sign of a person has a really good sense of humor, likes to have fun, craves stimulation, and can be incredibly romantic. He'll also have an open heart.

Pointed nose: This means he's curious — but it doesn't have to be in a negative way — and that he'll love to talk about things. He'll typically also want to constantly be learning.

Pointed chin: A more pointed chin usually correlates to someone who can be indecisive and change their mind easily, but he can also be spontaneous.

Big eyes: These are a sign that someone has powerful emotions. It's really important for him to be in love and he'll write you a poen, a song, give you flowers, etc., to show you that.

A pointed inner eye: When the inner corner is pointed, you can assume the man is precise in his communication skills. If he is a writer or speaker, he'll choose his words well.

Dimples: This usually means he has innate charm — he'll be able to wrap you around his little finger.

Side note: This type of guy can be highly emotional and a little dramatic because he's not boring.

2. The powerful entrepreneur: This guy is all about working, achieving, meeting his goals, and winning. However he will want to include you in what he's doing and make you a part of his life.

If this is your type of guy (think Ryan Seacrest), the facial features to look for include:

Slanted-back forehead: This is a sign that he's a go-getter. This guy is driven, he loves to work, but also loves to stay active. It also tends to mean that he doesn't like to wallow in his feelings. 

Indented temples: This means he's a hard worker, but a little bit compulsive, which can be positive and negative (i.e. someone who is a workaholic) thing.

Big, strong eyebrows: You can bet he's competitive and he'll set a goal and achieve it. This also shows that he has a high testosterone level, so a strong sex drive.

Small, deep set eyes: This type of guy isn't highly emotional, but he likes to be the protector and provider. He isn't into talking about his feelings, but he'll support you in other ways (i.e. monetarily and with his time).

Relatively prominent nose: This signifies he wants to achieve something in life and wants others' respect.

Thin lips: This typically means he is super-focused and that he wants to get things done in life and move forward.

Large jaw: You can assume this feature represents someone who is really competitive and loves to win.

Side note: The entrepreneurial guy doesn't necessarily do well with dealing with your feelings, because he might think you're presenting him with a problem that you expect him to fix for you. Even though you just really want to talk about it and have him listen. By nature he's a fixer and loves to fix things and solve problems — that's what lights him up in life.

3. The homebody: He's ready to commit, he wants a family, and wants to settle down with someone to go through life with arm-in-arm. He's going to be very supportive and wants to be a partner. This guy likes to cuddle and he doesn't typically have a strong sex drive.

If this is your type of guy (picture someone like Seth Rogan), the facial features to look for include:

Round eyes: This feature says he's kind and communicative. He will always want to make you feel good.

Full lips or a large mouth: This is a sign he has a generous spirit — this is a giver's quality. It also says he may like to cook and that he likes to help around the house.

Plump nose: A plump nose means someone who wants to have a wonderful home and wants to spend time with his friends and family there.

Plumpness to his cheeks: This means he is kind and wants to help you in life. He's the kind of person who doesn't have a mean bone in his body, but he might be a little boring at times.

Rounded eyebrows: These say he'll always want to create a win-win situation — he thinks about the other person first.

Round face: This is a sign of a pleasing personality — again, he'll think about you first.

Side note: He's not a loner, so he always wants to be together.

4. The artistic: This guy loves the unusual and wants to sit around and have deep discussions about your relationship. He's also into deep, kinky sex.

If this is your type of guy (think John Mayer), the facial features to look for include:

Rounded forehead: This feature says he's intuitive, but he can often fantasize about what is really going on that has nothing to do with reality. This type of guy is often a musician or artist and can be quite brilliant, but he can tend to me more emotional than other people — he'll always turn to intuition rather than logic when making life decisions.

Large eyes that are wide open: This means he's a good communicator, especially when it comes to his feelings. He's typically very expressive.

Pointed nose: This is a sign he's creative and emotional, mostly in a good way.

Large mouth and/or full lips: A large mouth and/or full lips says this person wants to be in a relationship, is emotionally available, and wants to come home to you at night. He can commit, but again he'll be more in touch with his emotions than yours, generally.

Cleft chin: This is a sign of a performer. It signifies that he has a good sense of humor and wants a personal connection with you. He's emotionally available — more so than someone without a cleft chin.

Narrow jaw: This typically says he's easy going and isn't too set in his own beliefs. He'll also want to listen to you in the relationship and hear what you have to say.

Side note: Freedom and independence are very important to the artistic type within their relationships, so you need to give them their space if you want the relationship to last.

5. The visionary: He's someone who is very idealistic and wants to do something meaningful to help the world. It's very important to him to be authentic in relationships and he typically won't want to waste his time on things that don't matter. He loves the subliminal experience of sex, even just the touch is special, so to him sex is a sacred act.

If this is your type of guy (picture James Franco), the facial features to look for include:

Prominent bony nose: This means he notices little details and is very sensitive, so he'll be sensitive to your energy and how you're feeling. He'll also be very gracious and want to make you feel beautiful.

Visible upper eyelids: If he has some space between his eye and his eyebrow, showing a bit of his eyelid, that signifies someone who is highly sensitive. He feels more than most men do. And, he's the perfect host and can set his own needs aside — he has charm and grace.

Bony cheeks: This is a sign of someone who can hold power and authority. He'll speak up about his idealistic views, and he's often a trendsetter and wants to help you become your best self.

Overall sculpted features: If he doesn't have any plumpness to his face, he is typically someone who wants to make life perfect for the whole world, so he'll have very high principles. Sculpted features also mean he has excellent taste, too.

Eyebrows that tend to be higher up instead of closer to his actual eye: This usually means this person is someone who you don't rush up to hug, but instead you extend your hand. It means he has excellent manners.

Hollowness to the lower cheeks: This is a sign he will always makes things better — he cares about the quality of his relationship with you and he wants to make it authentic.

Side note: The visionary can be a perfectionistic and also very self critical, so if you try to tell him that he did something wrong, he'll be mortified, upset, and even more critical of himself.
