Subway Kittens Briefly Make Time Stop In Brooklyn

The best kind of emergency is a Kitten Emergency: A pair of stray kittens, later named August and Arthur, were found frolicking near the third track of the B/Q train in Brooklyn's Lefferts Gardens. The train was halted in order to rescue the kittens, which was no easy task. According to a bystander on Gothamist: "The man's like, 'Come here kittens...' and like, he's scaring the cat so they're not going to come out."

The good news is that the siblings, thought to be around two months old, are now being fostered in a Bushwick apartment. And the train's running again. Also good news. Above, The Colbert Report makes fun of the denizens of Brooklyn stuck without phone service, texting, Instagram, and late for their barista jobs. Ouch, bro.
