The plot synopsis for Glee season six has been revealed.
The final run of the musical Fox series will see Rachel Berry (Lea Michele) returning home to Lima after her failure as a TV actress in New York.
After discovering that Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch) has put an end to all arts at McKinley High, Rachel finds herself in the halls of her old school, reinstating and leading the glee club.
Blaine Anderson (Darren Criss) and Sam Evans (Chord Overstreet) find surprising jobs in Ohio, while Will Schuester (Matthew Morrison) also finds an exciting opportunity to get into.
Glee season six will see other previous students returning to their hometown as well, with Dave Karofsky (Max Adler) appearing in the series — reportedly as Blaine's boyfriend.
Five new characters will also be introduced, all sophomores at McKinley High School.
Glee's final season will consist of 13 episodes and is expected to air next year.
