Town Made Up of 600 Hot Single Women Asks Bachelors to Move In

A town in Brazil made up entirely of 20- to 35-year-old women is hoping to get some male residents [via The Mirror].

Noiva do Cordeiro, with a population of about 600 young women, was founded in the 1890s by a woman excommunicated for adultery. Other women who were excommunicated or otherwise shunned slowly found their way to the town. Since then, it's traditionally been only female residents: male children are sent off after they turn 18, and although some women live their with their husbands, the men work out of town all week and are only allowed back on weekends. Men aren't allowed to take part in running the town, and all town politics are managed by the women (who, the Mirror weirdly points out, "are renowned in the local area for being extremely attractive.")

Because of their female-only policy, the single citizens are having a really tough time finding boyfriends. Now they're hoping to find eligible bachelors that wouldn't mind moving to a town run by single women. I'm sure they'll get a few new residents within hours.

But the ladies aren't giving up their Brazilian paradise for potential new beaus. Nelma Fernandes, 23, said, "We'd like to get to know men who would leave their own lives and come to be a part of ours. But first they need to agree to do what we say and live according to our rules." Yep, OK, not a problem.
